FAQS

Get Informed

Stained Glass is a raw material used at Fused Finery for creating

Stained Glass Windows, Glass Mosaics and Glass Fusing.

The first known use of stained glass was in 1791.

Stained Glass is cutting raw material into specific shapes leaded or foiled together

to create a stained glass window which is typically hung or installed in an exterior opening of a building.

Fused Glass has been dated as far back as Egyptian times.

Fused glass is the layering of glass heated in a kiln, no less than 1250 degrees F.  Different temperatures create different effects.

Romans created mosaics throughout Europe.

Mosaics are a gluing process where you can have a random pattern or a very specific pattern on a wall, floor, table, board etc, that is usually grouted, but not always.  You may use many different materials to create a mosaic. Glass is used at Fused Finery to create Mosaics.
